Briko

Briko® is an Italian brand founded in 1985 by Alberto Brignone. He began by supplying technical materials to the Italian National Ski Team and developed specialized ski waxes designed to meet the performance needs of professional athletes. Initially, these waxes were used exclusively for competitions. In 1989, Briko® achieved another remarkable success with the introduction of Thrama lenses, developed on the concept of transmittance—a selective light-filtering technique aimed at drastically reducing visual “noise,” meaning diffuse light. The lenses also provide reliable UV protection.

Over the following years, the company continued to invest in innovation, introducing advanced technologies such as Zygo tech masks and tricomposite fiber helmets, strengthening Briko®’s position in the world of high-performance sports equipment. In 2017, the Briko® brand was acquired by BasicNet. The integrity and consistency of the brand allow us to carry forward its legacy and guide it toward new challenges — with innovative products, modern strategies, and new partnerships that drive Briko® into the future.
